Options trading/investment

I just missed the opportunity to make $17k in a day by trading/investing in equity options. A few hours of waiting could have made the difference...Anyway, there is a huge potential in what i'm doing and I believe in that potential. Gotta have a game plan and stick to it. Dont let human psychology mess things up, please! Making $$$ is never an easy task, but tenacity, focus and knowledge will do it eventually. I've come a long way to know what I should do and how to do it. God bless.

New Area of Prosperity Awaiting America

There is a significant development happening right here in America. They call it 'oil boom'! The country is on the verge of becoming energy independent for the first time ever in its approximately 300-year history of existence on the world map. With my still limited view and understanding of economics and politics, the fact that America no longer relies on foreign oil has so many implications for the country itself and for the world in general. The U.S. economy will save hundreds of billions of dollars per year in oil imports and that money will flow back into the economy and benefit U.S. corporations as well as U.S. households. In addition, the country now won't have to wage wars for oil in the vulnerable Middle East region which has traditionally been hostile to its interests. Potentially less U.S. involvement in Middle East will certainly shift the global geopolitical landscape and I can't wait to see how that will play out in the next few decades. Oil has become one of the backbones of the U.S. economy since the dawn of the modern area and its quest for more oil has only grown bigger over the years. Now thanks to the technology called 'fracking', the country's dream of energy independence suddenly becomes within reach. I can't think of a bigger trend since World War 2 than this. Some people may argue that the invention of computers in the 1980s and the ensued digital age might be more significant but I will leave that argument to academics and politicians. All that matters to me personally is how I can take advantage of this knowledge. I think the stock market may be on the crush of a boom cycle like in the 1990s and if this turns out to be true, my Lord there's a lot of money to be made for investors. God bless America!

Tactical Trades Using Weekly Options to Exploit Short-term Market Inefficiencies

Sounds like the title of a doctoral dissertation right? That's a fancy name for a trading strategy that I have developed after years of "struggles and progresses" in the stock market. I will try to come up with a shorter name but for now I'm pretty happy with what I got. Nothing has taken up that much of my time as the stock market since I set foot in this country. I have spent countless number of hours and sleepless nights to read up on current news, analyze markets, do research and keep track of my real and hypothetical portfolios. I have also gone to numerous seminars and workshops and met with many college professors, investment professionals and with those who share the same interest. This passion was developed way back in the first year of my college in Vietnam and that passion has been with me ever since.

The strategy comprises of 5 critical elements: technical analysis, fundamental analysis, money management, psychology, and time management. The strategy has recently been implemented and it has returned nicely in 2012. I will share this strategy with my investment circles and invite more scrutiny/critics when the time is right. If I can make this work consistently then the ultimate goal of financial freedom won't be unattainable. More work has to be done and more adjustments need to be made, but for now I'm happy with it.
